A Little Archive... Part II

So here's my sweet treats of the past....

I LOVE CUPCAKES!
<3 Making them
<3 The Look of them
<3 Eating them! Yum Yum

Here's one of my mini creations i made for my grandads birthday.

Valentines Homemade Baked Cheesecake.

This was suprisingly easy to make and tasted better than any shop bought cheesecake. I kept it simple and added a few rasberrys on top for decoration.

Butterfly cakes with a difference.

I baked 3 different sponges; one normal sponge, one with pink food colouring and the other with purple. I used a lemon buttericing to decorate.

Royal Wedding Fever

Last year my friend held a royal wedding party. I thought it was only right to bring a few themed treats. These were just simple cupcakes of different sizes. I used 3 different colours representing the union jack flag to decorate.

Cookie Monster!

Unfortunatly i cannot take credit for this one, but my boyfriend can for buying me this little treat.
It tasted as good as it looks.

Festive Pies.
These go to show what happens when you mistake shortcrust pastry with puff pastry. At first i thought these might be a disaster but after taking them into work, my colleagues said some preferred them to normal shortcrust ones.
I will continue to make these in the future, i might even call them mince puffs...

A Little Archive..

As i have been posing pictures on my facebook for some time now, i thought i would transfer some of them on here and give a brief explanation.

Some of the food i photograph i have made myself and others i have taken whilst out and about.
(I do not proclaim to be a good photographer so apologies for the quality)

I also have to split this into Savoury and Sweet as i have too many photos for one post.

These are jacket potatoes that i cooked in the oven; I scooped out the flesh, mixed with grated cheese, grilled bacon, creme fraiche and then topped with some more cheese and placed under the grill to brown.

Makes a delicious starter or snack.

My first attempt at Toad-in-the-Hole.

I was fed up of always cooking fish with potatoes and boiled veg so i decided to mix it up a little with some roasted Mediterranean vegetables. Sweet potato, carrots, peppers, courgettes, onions and garlic tossed in some olive oil is an easy quick addition to any meal.

My Very First Roast Dinner!
(Yes i know what you're thinking..."Wheres the gravy?"
I made my own and had it in a jug on the side!)

One of my other passions is Spain. I visit the country as often as i can and have been lucky enough to have lived there for over a year.
These 'Chipirones' which are baby squids grilled (A La Plancha) with garlic are my absolute favourite. Not very easy on the eye, but taste amazing.

My First Roast Chicken.

My First Love

So I've taken the step to move away from posting up photos and status updates on Facebook, and take the plunge into my very own blog.

I have one BIG passion in life and that's FOOD! I don't eat because i have to, i eat because i want to, even if i don't need to...

I appreciate everything about food, from the appearance, to the smell and of course the taste. I enjoy cooking and divulge in cooking up a storm in my little kitchen. From savoury treats, to sweet baked goods, i cook it all.

Eating out is often only a luxury on my budget but i still try to frequent local restaurants as often as my purse will allow. I intend to write reviews as and when i visit establishments, and keep you all up to date on my eating habits.

I hope you enjoy my posts and feel free to leave your comments.

P.S. Please be gentle with me, I'm new at this ;)
